SASSA Payment dates for May month 2024 are for all grants and usually take some time to be confirmed, but the good news they are timely announced officially by SASSA without any delays.
Make sure that you get yourself prepared for receiving your grant payments for the month of May; if you’re facing any problem with your application or have an expired SASSA card, fix it before payment dates or you’ll face a problem receiving your payment.
Also note that, once SASSA announces the paydays for the payments for all types of beneficiaries, it’s highly disciplined in delivering payments to all grant holders on time.

To receive your grant payments, you must be at your ATM on the following dates, but if you want to receive your payments more smoothly and hassle-free, try to visit your ATM to receive money after one day of disbursal, because on the day of disbursal, you’ll likely face traffic on ATMs.

You’re advised to apply for a SASSA grant wisely after checking the requirements of the grant. Once your grant is approved, you won’t be able to increase the grant amount but note that SASSA keeps changing its grant amounts according to economic prices or inflation rate in the country.
Payment Withdrawal Precautions
- For smooth withdrawals, try to schedule your withdrawals at the ATM a week before your pay date.
- Check your card’s validity in advance before going to take your money.
- After entering your card into ATM machine, use your left hand to cover the keypad while entering your PIN and type your PIN using your right hand.
- If you face any technical problem at ATM machine, try to report it to only bank staff rather than asking for help from any stranger at the ATM.
- Don’t ask someone at the ATM for help, nor accept anyone’s offer.
- Never allow anyone to enter simultaneously in the ATM cabin for withdrawal.
- Try to avoid visits to ATMs late at night to minimize the chances of robberies.
- It’s advisable to take your close relative or friend with you at the ATM.
- After taking your payment from ATM, leave the ATM and only top at your home.
- Always be aware of SMS notifications related to the transaction and report immediately if you see any unusual transactions or activity with your payment account.
