Important: Only unemployed national South African citizens who’re aged 18-60 with a valid ID document, receiving no other grants, and proof of low or no income qualify for the SASSA SRD grant.

• If you’re a newcomer or have no experience dealing with SASSA, first create an account by opening the official SASSA (https://srd.sassa.gov.za/said).
• Proceed to the online application form and fill out the form completely by entering the correct details, avoiding making any mistakes, and providing the information requested in the form.
• Select a South African national, Permit holder, or asylum seeker as suitable to you.
• Provide gender, email address, phone number, and ID number in the form
• Select your payment method and your banking details with the bank-generated form with your personal details, the bank form must be official and computer-generated.
• If the form requires some additional information or attachments of documents, don’t forget to provide the same application form.
• Tip: if you have your documents in hard copy format, you can scan them and get them in digital form, in this way, you can attach the documents with your application form to the SASSA account.
• After filling out the form and providing all the required documents, now you’re now ready to submit the form to SASSA, press the submit button.
• Wait for at least one or two weeks to get a response from SASSA on your SRD application.

• Enter your national ID card number or CNIC number in the first field.
• Then enter your Phone number in the second field.
• Note that you must provide both these details, the same as you’ve provided in the application form when you were applying for this grant.
