SASSA Reconsideration of Application
I know if you’re here, you may have seen the rejected status at SASSA status check, but no worries I have the solution and that is SASSA reconsideration of the application.
You must know that SASSA only accepts application reconsideration requests if your application is rejected due to not very serious reason.
SASSA reconsideration for rejected applications is similar to SASSA appeal, but it’s way too different.
If SASSA has objected to your application and rejected it due to serious reasons, then reconsideration may not work for you, either go for an appeal or SASSA reapplication.
As I’ve discussed in detail about the SASSA online application and everything related to this, today in this post I’ll be guiding you on how to request SASSA to reconsider your application.
Before you proceed with reconsideration, keep in mind that it’s a really simple process and you don’t have to perform as many steps as you do in an appeal or a new application, it’s just a 3 or 4-click process.
How to Request SASSA for Application Reconsideration
Follow these steps in order to make an appeal or request for your rejected application reconsideration.
- Open the SASSA website link (https://srd.sassa.gov.za/appeals/appeal) and log into your account by typing your ID number and Phone number.
- To get in, you may receive an OTP code, confirm that code, and log into your SASSA account.
- Within your account, you may see a section named ‘reconsideration’ click on it.
- After this, you will see a box in which you have to enter a valid reason which should be impressive to convince the reconsideration request to approve your application.
- Provide valid and authentic documents to support your reason why your application should be approved.
- The final step is to just ‘Submit’ the request.
When and When Not You Should Apply for Reconsideration
Here are some valid reasons to consider or when it’s suitable that you should request reconsideration.
When To:
- If you think your application for a grant is rejected due to a lousy reason, go for reconsideration with confidence.
- If SASSA has put your application on hold and requires some other important documents, immediately provide the required things.
- If you’ve made any mistake while applying for a grant and you think the mistake can be solved easily or you have an authentic solution for the mistake, apply for reconsideration with reason.
When Not:
- If your application is rejected for a serious reason, consider an appeal rather than reconsideration with proper and improved documentation or reapplication if the appeal doesn’t work.
- In case SASSA banned you due to anything unethical you did to SASSA, yes SASSA doesn’t need scammers.
Precautions
- Never consider any third party or an assistant outside of SASSA to help you reconsider your application.
- Only use SASSA’s official website portal for application reconsideration purposes.
- Always provide authentic reasons because SASSA is intelligent than your think.
- Provide legitimate documents as a reason to get your application reconsidered.
- You must be fulfilling the SASSA criteria for reconsideration.
- A single mistake while reconsideration or providing the wrong detail may again result in rejection.
Final Thoughts
