SASSA August Important Things You Should Know

As this month has started, there are things every SASSA beneficiary should know related to their application payment dates.

SASSA has released the payment dates for the month of August as well as for other months in 2024, the year before it started.

Here are the important days for all types of beneficiaries, on these days you’re advised to collect your payments from your nearest payment points.

Payment Dates for August

You’re advised to remember these dates and be at the most suitable ATM to withdraw your payments.

• 2 August 2024 for old age grant.
• 5 August 2024 for disability grants.
• 6 August for child support grant.

Please note that old age pensioners are also included on 2 August, you can consider this dat specifically allocated for senior South Africans.

Also, the disability grant dates include all the disability grant types including the SASSA HIV grant.

Tips for Receiving Payment

• As this matter is at least a month before the pay date, do check that your SASSA card has not expired.
• Avoid peak hours at ATMs, and try to plan your visit some hours later than peak moments at payment points.
• At the same time avoid visiting any payment point late at night to escape from robberies.
• Do not allow anyone to enter the ATM cabin along with you.
• Never accept anything from anyone at the ATM.
• Hide the keypad section of the ATM while typing your card details.
• If you face any kind of problem, discuss this only with the ATM staff on duty.
• After taking your payment out from the machine, don’t stop anywhere until you reach your home door.
• After the machine pulls out your card and cash, take your card first and put it in your wallet then take your cash from the ATM.
